This site is designed for people running or considering running the Alpha for ESOL course in their church, campus or outreach ministry. You will find information on training, materials, and updates on the global use of the course on this site.
Learning to run the course
If you are considering running the course, we first recommend you attend an alpha course and ideally help on regular alpha course to become familiar with the format and facilitating small groups. To become familiar with the differences of the Alpha for ESOL course, watching the course leader's training DVD, reviewing the course materials, and ideally attending a training conference are great ways to prepare.

Training conferences
In
2008 there will be a number of Alpha for ESOL training conferences offered
worldwide due to the rapid growth of the course. Kathy Watson, the course
creator, will be speaking live at most of the training events.
Space at some of the events is already limited, so early registration or contacting the administrator is recommended.
